Healthy dreamy peach whip is a bowlful of creamy fluffy goodness that closely resembles ice cream but is much healthier for you!

This easy recipe for healthy dreamy peach whip is one of my go-to options on a hot day or when I’m craving an extra special cold treat, but yet want something that is low carb, low sugar and has protein.
This recipe has all of those things!!
Peach season is one of my favorite fruit seasons besides apples and strawberries. This recipe is actually the first one on my blog that highlights peaches! So exciting! I have several other fruit recipes like sourdough strawberry oat snack bars or slow cooker apple cobbler, but peaches needed some attention too, so here we go!
Everyone has their favorite ways of enjoying cold juicy peaches – sliced and eaten with whipped cream, peach puddings, peach pie and some just love to grill peaches all summer!
One of my favorite ways to enjoy peaches is either in a crisp, served warm with ice cream, or to have them cold and blended, like in this recipe. So refreshing on a hot summer day!
Next time you’re craving a cold treat on a hot summer day, mix up this recipe and go eat it outside under a tree. And don’t forget to grab your favorite book!

Why you should make healthy dreamy peach whip
This cold and creamy dessert is almost like an ice cream treat that is actually healthy for you! No guilt here!
There is no heavy whipping cream in this recipe, instead we substitute with cottage cheese. The natural sweetness in the peaches combined with a small amount of your sweetener of choice, make this a healthy low sugar treat that you won’t even notice or be turned off by!

Protein powder and cottage cheese are combined to be a great source of protein for you in this serving size and when whipped together with the frozen peaches, make a fluffy and creamy effect.
Peaches are actually healthy for you! Did you know that peaches contain many nutrients and minerals? They are also a great antioxidant source
Health note: the riper the fruit, the more antioxidants and other vitamins it has. It can also aid digestion and improve heart health. See source here.

When to enjoy
This is great for a protein packed breakfast that is filling and delicious or for an afternoon snack or can be shared as a dessert treat after supper when you want something to snack on before bed.
Ingredients in this recipe
Frozen peaches – you will want to use frozen peaches. Fresh peaches or canned peaches will not produce the same effect. You need a frozen product for best results or the mixture will end up flat and runny plus not be nice and icy cold.
Cottage cheese – a great protein source that when whipped, gives a creamy effect.
Greek Yogurt – another great protein source that adds creaminess and consistency.
Honey or sweetener of choice – other great options are maple syrup, unrefined sugar. If you want to make this low carb and sugar free then use Truvia or Pyrue sweetener.
Protein Powder – adds protein to your diet and helps make a creamy and fluffy effect.
Vanilla extract or flavoring
Equipment you will need
Blender – a food processor could also work. I like my Ninja blender though!

Tips for making healthy dreamy peach whip
Do not over blend as the cottage cheese and protein powder both cause a poofing effect together and this overdone will loose the flavor of the overall product. To get the perfect balance of creamy but not total airy poofiness, blend for about 2-3 minutes and not longer.
Try placing the blended mixture into a popsicle mold and freeze for a summertime treat!
Recipe for Healthy dreamy peach whip
2 large handfuls frozen peach slices
¼ cup cottage cheese
½ cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
swirl of honey or 1-2 tablespoons Pyrue or Truvia

How to make healthy dreamy peach whip
Add everything except the protein powder into your blender and blend till smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. I like to use this special long blender spatula.
Add the protein powder. Turn blender back on. Do not over blend as the cottage cheese and protein powder both cause a poofing effect together and this overdone will loose the flavor of the overall product. (Blend for about 2-3 minutes and no longer).

Optional, but you can freeze these into Popsicle molds.
