In this post today I’m going to share with you my favorite Top 10 toys on Amazon for babies and toddlers and why you need them for your little one!
Baby’s grow and see so much in the world around them, through us, and through the things they do and the toys they play with. Below, I will list the Top 10 toys on Amazon for babies and toddlers that I have found to be perfect for our child.
When you’re picking out the best toy for your baby or child it is important to make sure the toy is suitable for their age, interest and developmental stage.
For example, most babies are ready for a rattle around the same age, but not all the babies will be interested and interact with it the same time.

My daughter was not a big teether toy baby, but she loved things that crinkled, or did something when it was touched. She liked to get a “response” from the toy/object that she was interacting with.

Infant stage (this is only by what is recommended on Amazon and is in no way limited to each stage!)
Pink elephant car seat toy This toy connects to the carseat handle on an infant baby carseat. The tail is spiral and wraps around the car seat handle. There are developmentally based objects that hang that the baby can pull on and touch. My mom gave this to us before we took a long car drive and we pulled it out for the baby when she needed something “new” to keep her occupied after several hours of driving.
Linking toys These are most used for around 3-9 months, ideally when the baby is first starting out holding objects and little rattle toys. These have cute muted tone colors and a slight texture on the rings.
The links can be used to hang toys from an activity mat, carseat handle, or just played with as they are.
Elephant teether If you want a perfect teething toy to occuoy your baby in the car or when sitting in church, this one is the way to go! The long “trunk” of the elephant is fun for babies to put in their mouth and chew on. The
Rainbow stacking toy The rainbow stacking toy is fun because each layer is silicone and the baby can hold the layers in their hands and put to their mouth to chew on.
There is a subtle texture to these that they baby’s like to feel, whether with their hands, or mouth.
The next few items are generally geared towards the developing toddler that is transitioning to walking and discovery
Elephant pull behind toy Our daughter was nine months old when she experienced her first Christmas. She was so excited as she opened this toy that we gave her.
She wasn’t quite ready for using the toy at her age yet, but by 11 months she was delighted and full of joy to pull the elephant behind her as she tottled around, or for my husband and I to show her how to play with it.
Pink snuggle bunny doll When our daughter’s friend turned one, we gave her this little doll. Our daughter really liked it herself and wanted to carry it around everywhere so we gave her one on her own birthday the following month.
It is definitely one of her favorites and she won’t go anywhere with out it.
Wooden play food– As the baby grows and transitions to a toddler, wooden play food is a great way to introduce the use of two hands working together to hold the food and “cut” at the same time.
There are little magnetic pieces inside the inner edges of the food halves to hold the play food together. You can have your little one imitate you as you name the different foods.
Wooden vegetable garden shape sorter– This is a cute little wooden “garden” that the child can pull the different size vegetables out of and then figure out the hole to put them back in again. Great for developing those fine motor skills!
Outdoor 5 in 1 bean bag toss activity– This activity is so multi purpose and includes several games in one! Perfect for taking to the park, a party, or camping. The bean bag toss and ring toss are particularly fun:)
In conclusion of Top 10 toys on Amazon for babies and toddlers:
Link for linen toddler dress – for those of you that have asked for the link for this adorable linen dress, here it is! It has worn well on my daughter. The linen fabric is very light and breezy.
I hope that some of these items will give you ideas or be suitable for your little one’s needs and interests. It is so much fun watching baby’s grow and the toddler’s learn!
They are very busy active and curious in their stage and sometimes I wish I could look at the world through my daughter’s eyes.
I am blessed to be her mother and be along side her as she grows and discovers the world around her. I am privileged to teach her the things she needs to know in life and to be her cheer leader.
Pin for later! (Christmas and birthday gift ideas!)
