Crockpot baked oatmeal with pure maple syrup

This delicious crockpot baked oatmeal is packed with nutrients, contains no added sugar and is convenient to bake on low or warm overnight!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups oats
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 2/3 cups milk of choice
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash salt
  • sprinkle of cinnamon
  • any additional add-ins of choice

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease the inside of your crockpot.
  • In a mixing bowl combine eggs, maple syrup, melted butter and milk. 
  • Whisk till incorporated. (Tip-Use a large liquid measuring cup for this instead of a bowl. First measure the milk, then add the rest of this ingredients. This will help avoid extra dirty dishes to wash).
  • Stir in the kind of oats that you are using, baking powder, salt, the vanilla and any additional add-ins that would need to be added before cooking.
  • (Refer to the list above to decide what add-ins you might choose.)
  • Combine ingredients together. Pour slowly into crockpot. Put lid on and adjust the setting to warm. The cook time can vary slightly depending on the exact type of crockpot.
  • Serve warm with yogurt, milk, fruit or whatever you decide to use.
