Ingrdients for homemade maple dijon vinaigrette
- pure maple syrup- I use maple syrup sourced from a local farmer
- apple cider vinegar -use organic if possible. There are many health benefits to consuming organic apple cider vinegar; this is a great way to sneak some in:)
- dijon mustard
- olive oil- I use extra-virgin olive oil and organic if possible
- sea salt
- garlic- you can use fresh mined/pressed but dried also works fine!
- optional parsley – I used dried in this recipe
- optional dash of black pepper
If you’d like a more potent dressing make sure to use raw garlic and you can add an additional tablespoon of dijon mustard. (See the full recipe below.)
Replacement options:
If you’re not a fan of maple flavor you could try replacing it with agave syrup or honey.

How to make homemade maple dijon vinaigrette
There are two methods for making this recipe:
1- a blender– (This will result in a creamier dressing texture and the dressing will not separate. It also becomes lighter in color due to the blending process). I recommend the blender method:)
2- no blender– (Some days I just don’t want to pull out the blender or maybe the baby is napping. This method is super easy, less dishes to wash and is just as delicious for something quick).
Equipment you may need:
Blender
Glass jar or salad dressing bottle
Liquid measuring cup
Measuring spoons
optional garlic press
Directions:
Blender option-add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 10 -15 seconds. Do not overland or it will get too “whipped”. Pour into storage jar.
No blender option -add all the ingredients directly to a glass storage jar or other container of choice. Put a lid on and shake for 10 seconds.
Enjoy right away or refrigerate until ready to use. This will last in the fridge up to 4 weeks.
I personally prefer to make my dressing ahead of time and give it atleat 2 hours in the fridge before enjoying on my salad. Allowing the ingredients to incorporate and marinade together, gives it a better taste. If you are using fresh garlic rather than dried, the marinating process helps that garlic to infuse into the dressing making it even more flavorful.

How to store homemade maple dijon vinaigrette
Store in a salad dressing jar, an airtight container or other storage container of choice. A regular mason jar/glass jar works well also and you can use a spoon then to serve it over your bowl of salad greens. Make sure to store with a tight-fitting lid. You don’t want any unnecessary accidents!
Give it a good shake before pouring.

Enjoy this dressing on your favorite salads this summer! You will be pleasantly surprised at how easy this simple vinaigrette dressing is to make.
